Many people are bashing me and saying that I have been making all this up so that I can gain popularity/ sales/ etc... But that is so far from the truth, I only posted this so that other people who make cups could be warned before this happens to them. Here's exactly what happened-
On December 27th, 2021- I received a letter from Honigman Law firm stating that I had 45 days to sell out of all of my inventory because Starbucks didn't approve of my use of their logo etc... she also stated that drilling the hole and adding things to their cup is not approved.
Initially I did not believe the email was true because of the amount of people who make these cups and because Starbucks never released a statement saying they don't allow the customization and re selling of their cups. Therefore I called corporate 2 times. Both times I called I was told to disregard the email, and they said that Starbucks never said you couldn't do it. I mentioned that to the lawyer I was contacted by and she stated that "whoever told me that didn't have the authorization to do so". She also asked me for their information but I did not tell her their names because I didn't want anyone to be fired.
I also told her I was having as manager from a Starbucks location ordering me hundreds of cups and she knew exactly what I was using them for- again she asked me for the ladies information but I did not comply with a answer. After asking her why were they coming after me when there's thousands of people who make the same cups as me she replied "I am not aware of anyone else making these cups". I told her with a simple google search she could find hundreds- she did not reply.
The only thing I am hoping for is for Starbucks to announce this and let people know this is not legal and they aren't allowing it.
I will post the email here so you all can see what was stated. If you have been relying on selling these cups for a living it is my advice to find another cup source before you are contacted.
